Chronic pain impacts the lives of 1 in 5 people in Canada and 20% of the adult population in Europe. Chronic pain patients often suffer from depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, financial issues, and a lack of support as a result of their condition. If left too long, chronic pain can even result in physiological changes, such as a loss of grey matter in the prefrontal cortex. Despite this, there is a global lack of education and understanding around chronic pain, but Grant Connelly is on a mission to change this! We’ve brought the founder of NeuPath Health onto the show today to share how his consortium of clinics across Canada is helping to reduce symptoms of chronic pain, increase the quality of life of their patients, and alter the way that medical professionals deal with this disability. Grant explains the variety of elements that make up the collaborative, multi-pronged, individualized approaches that NeuPath utilizes, and the numerous benefits of these forms of treatment!
